Polini Sport- Can i run a Gear Up kit?

Well i always thought a gear up kit was NEEDED on a 70'd engine.

But i got an email from Scooter Attack advising me to run standard gearing because the Polini Sport is not a very strong kit.

Is this correct??

Could i not even get away with running a Primary Gear Up??

As i dont want it to rev toooo high.

Do you have a speedfight (air cooled) right?

Edit: just seen you have a liquid cooled, i was going to say that the liquid cooled are geared higher and so you could put liquid cooled gears in a air cooled engine.

less questions more testing is all i can say

i ran my scooter on std gearing for some time revving to 14k rpm

you wont need a gear up kit
plus the most you have is about 7-9hp so you wont be revving that high
standard gearing is fine
on my 50cc aerox it runs longer gearing no problems at all and its at most maybe 5-6 hp revving to about 11k,its not like its going to spontaneously combust or something
you can run whatever gearing you want,but you might need to compensate with clutch settings
